Concession Stand

All families that are registered for a given CMYGSA season must submit a Volunteer Deposit check (1 per family, regardless of the number of players and the age group(s) in which they play).  A brief summary of the CMYGSA Volunteer Policy is as follows:

  • Each family is required to volunteer a total of four (4) hours for Spring seasons and two (2) hours for Fall seasons.
  • Hours can be accrued through working the concession stand (in 2-hour shifts) or by participating in other activities critical to the function of the Association (such as Field Opening/Closing Days).
  • Players will not receive their jerseys nor be allowed to play until the Volunteer Deposit check and a completed Volunteer Deposit Form have been submitted to the Association (can be coordinated through your coach, ideally to be submitted by the 2nd practice).
  • Families may opt out of volunteering which will result in the Association immediately cashing their Volunteer Deposit check.  Opting out is denoted on the Volunteer Deposit Form that is handed in at the beginning of each season.
  • Concession stand responsibilities include opening the concession stand at least 15 minutes prior to game time (if there is no prior game a coach will unlock the stand), working the stand the entire length of the game and closing the stand (if there is no game immediately following) AFTER all teams and players have had a chance to visit the stand after the game.
  • Concession stand sign-ups are a first-come, first-serve basis.
  • To ensure proper credit you MUST sign-in on the sheet in the concession stand.
  • At the conclusion of each season if the family fulfilled their volunteering quota their Volunteer Deposit check will be destroyed (or returned at their request).
